The TICK BOX® Tick Control System
The TICK BOX® Tick Control System is a targeted tick-control solution developed using research supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Unlike traditional spraying methods that focus on killing ticks directly, this system targets the primary hosts responsible for infecting ticks, white-footed mice and chipmunks.
Each tamper-resistant box contains bait that attracts rodents. As rodents enter the box, they are treated with a small amount of fipronil (what you may know as Frontline), an EPA-approved active ingredient widely used in veterinary and pest control products. This treatment kills ticks on the rodents without harming the animal, breaking the Lyme disease transmission cycle at its source.
TCS tick boxes are strategically placed in areas of known host activity. These ground-based systems treat tick-carrying small mammals directly, preventing ticks from maturing and reproducing. The result is measurable reduction over time — without widespread chemical exposure.
